Agape Fellowship was founded in the belief that people can make positive changes in their lives when they find a community of faith that will accept them as they are. It began in the early 1970's as a ministry of visionary Alvin Roth, founder of Mission Services of London. Alvin gathered a small group of people who met for weekly Bible study. The small group developed into a worshipping community. For the last three decades Agape has been a Mennonite Church that serves people who are struggling with various aspects of their lives, people who have physical and mental disabilities and/or disenfranchised people. Agape participants become engaged in both the Agape family and the larger community.
Agape Fellowship is a spiritual community for residents of North East London. We incarnate preferential option for the poor by offering a variety of programs, referrals to social services, and a wholesome family atmosphere. We are engaged in a holistic mission of reconciliation. We seek to care for the whole person physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We affirm all people equally with a passionate pursuit of justice for all.
