WORSHIP SERVICE

Our worship is informal. The services are interactive and there are many opportunities for individuals to participate and contribute. We focus on what God, Faith and Community mean in our daily lives.

Our service takes place at Valleyview Mennonite Church in London, ON.

Join us at 4:00 pm on Sunday afternoons for:

•   Bible Based Sermons/Discussions
•   Communion once a month
•   Interaction
•   Group and Individual Prayer
•    Evening meal served

*Translation for hearing impaired* 

*Some transportation provided*

BROWN BAG/BLANKET OUTREACH PROGRAM

             Every three months, bags are put together with a blanket,

             hat, gloves, socks and other basic needs. A lunch is also                         included with a sandwich, juice box and other food items.

             The bags are then distributed to those in need, by Agape                         volunteers, to various areas of the city.

             This is a way for us to give back.

COMMUNITY CUPBOARD

Free nonperishable groceries and toiletries

• On a limited basis
• To Agape participants
• Available two Sundays a Month

Low cost meat (from local farmers)

• To Agape participants
• Small Fee charged
• Offered one Sunday of the Month (upon availability)

BIBLE STUDY

Time of teaching, discussion and trusting interaction

• Bible Based Life Application 
• Bi-weekly gathering from September-May

COMMITTEES

Agape participants provides leadership for Agape activities.

• Opportunity for Agape participants to learn leadership skills
• Encourages shared ownership
• Offers experience sitting on a committee with peers
• Participants provide counsel, advice and wisdom
• Agape programs are community driven

FUND RAISING ACTIVITES

Offers Agape participants opportunity to develop management skills.

• Yard Sales with B.B.Q.'s
• Baked goods and crafts sales

MUTUAL AID FUND

Grant program for times of special need

• Participants must apply and qualify for program
• Agape participants make donations to fund
• Committee comprised of Agape participants and others

PASTORAL CARE

Personal support to individuals as needed

• Hospital, home and coffee shop visits
• Counselling
• Prayer 
• Conversation
• Referrals to professional services
• Other supports

RETREATS

• A "Spring Retreat",that lasts a few days, takes place outside of London.
• A " Fall Retreat", at the church, would be a one day retreat
• Themes with discussions, food and "down time"(at both)
• Relaxation in nature (at the "Spring Retreat")
• Worship (at both)
• Opportunity for an intimate awareness of God's presence (at both)

SPECIAL EVENTS

• Christmas Carol Sing Along--held on First Sunday of Advent
